Gauss-Sidel and Successive Over Relaxation Iterative Methods for Solving System of Fuzzy Sylvester Equations

In this paper, we present Gauss-Sidel and successive over relaxation (SOR) iterative methods for finding the approximate solution system of fuzzy Sylvester equations (SFSE), AX + XB = C, where A and B are two m*m crisp matrices, C is an m*m fuzzy matrix and X is an m*m unknown matrix. Finally, the proposed iterative methods are illustrated by solving one example.

Norms of the Successive Overrelaxation Method

Norms, primarily of theoretical interest, of the successive overrelaxation method, with a relaxation parameter other than the optimum one, are studied. New results on this subject are presented and compared with those of Wachspress [8].

Convergence of a semi-analytical method on the fuzzy linear systems

In this paper, we apply the  homotopy analysis method (HAM) for solving fuzzy  linear systems and present  the necessary and sufficient conditions for the convergence of series solution obtained via the HAM. Also, we present a new criterion for choosing a proper value of convergence-control parameter $hbar$ when the HAM is applied to linear system of equations. Comparisons are made between the ...

A note on an SOR-like method for augmented systems

Golub et al. (2001, BIT, 41, 71–85) gave a generalized successive over-relaxation method for the augmented systems. In this paper, the connection between the SOR-like method and the preconditioned conjugate gradient (PCG) method for the augmented systems is investigated. It is shown that the PCG method is at least as accurate (fast) as the SOR-like method. Numerical examples demonstrate that th...

On generalized SSOR-like iteration method for saddle point problems

In this paper, we study the iterative algorithms for saddle point problems(SPP). We present a new symmetric successive over-relaxation method with three parameters, which is the extension of the SSOR iteration method. Under some suitable conditions, we give the convergence results. Numerical examples further confirm the correctness of the theory and the effectiveness of the method. Key–Words: i...
